The World of Marianne Crouzeau (7) “Living with the Sea”

Although Marianne spent most of her long life of ninety-nine years in Paris,
as a child she enjoyed holidays in the South of France, where her cousins lived,
nurturing her dreams by the sea.

In adulthood it was the Mediterranean, and in later years the Atlantic coast,
that became the stage on which she roamed the fictional worlds of Greek myths,
poetry and other literature.

The sea sustained her health and brought great blessings to both body and mind.
This exhibition presents works in which she depicted the sea.
